U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price pledged Thursday that he will no longer charter private flights while in the cabinet, and that he will reimburse taxpayers for the flights he took using public funds. Price has been criticized for using private planes for both business and personal travel at taxpayer expense. President Trump said Wednesday that he was “not happy” about Price’s trips and declined to rule out whether he would fire the secretary. CNN reported that Price will write a personal check for $51,887.31, the equivalent of commercial business class seats. Price's private plane use, however, reportedly cost taxpayers more than $400,000.
