Hillary Clinton Set to Join the Campaign Trail

I’M WITH HER

A Harris aide told NBC News that voters should expect to see Clinton in the last week before the election.

Hillary Clinton will host at least one event on the campaign trail for Kamala Harris in the final week of the election, a campaign official told NBC News. No event has been announced yet, and it’s unclear if Clinton will appear alongside the vice president. Since endorsing Harris’ candidacy in July, Clinton has headlined several fundraisers on her behalf and spoken at the DNC, but she hasn’t done a campaign event. A Harris campaign official told NBC News that there is a “wariness” within the campaign to remind voters of Clinton’s 2016 loss, though Clinton is still seen as an overall asset on the trail. Harris officials said they also wanted to shy away from the identity politics that partially defined Clinton’s failed presidential campaign. “Hillary Clinton said, ‘I’m With Her,’ and they were not,” one aide said of voters. “‘I’m With Her’ means you’re talking more about the candidate than the voter. Now, we are focused on freedom for the voter rather than the candidate.”
