Hillary’s Email Excuse: ‘Convenience’

FINALLY

Easier to carry just one Blackberry.

Hillary Clinton addressed the controversy surrounding her use of personal email while serving as secretary of state on Tuesday, telling reporters that she opted to use one device for both personal and work emails instead of two "as a matter of convenience." She said that the practice was allowed by the State Department at the time but admitted, "It would have been better had I used a second email account." Clinton added that she deleted all the personal emails that she determined were not work-related and is "glad" that the emails will be released by the State Department this spring.

Reporters also questioned Clinton's practice of using her own private email server. Clinton said the server was started while her husband was still in the White House and is on property guarded by the Secret Service (she didn't specify where it was physically located). She emphasized that there had never been any breaches of the server and it "proved to be effective and secure." She said the server contains correspondence between herself and her husband, though Bill Clinton's spokesperson has said that he's only ever sent two emails, one to astronaut John Glenn and the other to U.S. troops serving in the Adriatic.
