Catastrophic storm surges as high as 15ft that could cover entire buildings are expected in south-eastern parts of Florida—including the city of Naples—as category-4 Hurricane Irma bears down on the U.S. The National Weather Service has issued a warning that up to 8 feet of surge could race into the Tampa Bay area.
