Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin have pulled their divorce proceedings from court and will look to reach a private settlement. Per Page Six: “Abedin was scheduled to appear in Manhattan Supreme Court Wednesday afternoon for a compliance conference in their contested divorce. Instead one of her attorneys submitted paperwork signed by both parties agreeing to end the case, a court source told The Post. The judge announced from the bench that the case was ‘discontinued.’” Abedin’s lawyer later clarified to Politico: “In order to reduce any impact of these proceedings on their child, the parties have decided to attempt to reach a settlement swiftly and privately.” Weiner is currently serving a two-year sentence in a federal prison after pleading guilty last year to sexting with a minor.
