Hundreds of people took to the streets in western Pennsylvania late Thursday in the second straight night of protests against the fatal police shooting of an unarmed 17-year-old boy. Protesters demonstrated outside the East Pittsburgh police headquarters, marched through the streets, and shut down a major interstate. Antwon Rose Jr. was shot dead by an East Pittsburgh officer Tuesday after being pulled over in connection with another shooting elsewhere in the city. According to CBS News, the officer was identified Thursday as Michael Rosfeld by the Allegheny County Police Department; he has since been placed on administrative leave. Around 1 a.m. Friday, police told demonstrators still on the scene to leave or be arrested. Just after 2 a.m., officers began moving in on the few protesters left, with least one woman taken into custody.
