Tropical Storm Rina grew to a Category 1 hurricane as it barreled up the coast of Central America on Monday, and officials in Nicaragua searched for 27 storm evacuees who went missing on a Navy boat on Sunday. As of Monday afternoon, the National Hurricane Center said Rina was roughly 195 miles southwest of Grand Cayman Island; it's expected to strengthen before making landfall later this week. Rina is moving northwest and could become a Category 3 hurricane in the next 48 hours, officials said.
