I’m Still Here Director Casey Affleck Settles Sexual Harassment Cases

Despite the recent mediocre opening of his highly buzzed Joaquin Phoenix documentary I’m Still Here, Casey Affleck has reason to celebrate—the actor and filmmaker has settled the sexual harassment cases from two women who worked with him on the film. Both producer Amanda White and cinematographer Magdalena Gorka received credit on the movie, but neither would provide The Hollywood Reporter with a comment on the financial terms. A representative for Affleck said in a statement Tuesday that “the disputes… have been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties and the lawsuits are being dismissed.” The women sued Affleck for $2 million and $2.25 million in July, claiming inappropriate behavior on the set of the movie, which is about his brother-in-law and fellow actor Joaquin Phoenix.
