A Kashmiri man linked to a 2001 armed attack of India’s Parliament was hanged on Saturday, according to the country's home minister. Afzal Guru had been sentenced to death in 2005 for having harbored and aided five men who staged an armed attack on India’s Parliament building in December 2001. The men, armed with guns and explosives, killed nine people and then themselves. Although Guru denied the charges in court, he gave a detailed television interview in 2002 revealing his role in the plot.
