India launched an airstrike inside Pakistan territory early Tuesday. While Pakistan said there were no casualties, India said it killed a “very large number” of militants at a terrorist training camp. The overnight raid will escalate tensions between the nuclear-armed rivals, worsened by a militant attack in the disputed Kashmir region earlier this month which killed more than 40 Indian soldiers. Pakistan denied involvement in the attack, which was claimed by Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad. Pakistan said it was “not involved in any way, means or form” in the attack, which it said was “conceived, planned and executed indigenously.”
