Republican Sen. James Inhofe said Wednesday night he had seen the “pretty gruesome” photos of Osama bin Laden’s corpse, part of a growing group of members of Congress who have seen the photos. “That was him,” said Inhofe. “He is gone. He’s history.” Inhofe said he saw 15 photos of the corpse, and said the photos clearly showed bin Laden had been shot—the bullet went in through the eye socket and then exploded, causing his brain matter to hang out the eye socket. Other members of Congress will view the photos at the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, Thursday morning. President Obama has said he will not release these photos, despite some people raising doubts that the terrorist leader was really killed.
