Robert (not his real name) is a 70-year-old property developer in Southern California who moonlights as a life-sized doll named Shelly. Slipping into a female body suit, and donning a selection of wigs, faces, and outfits, Sherry poses around her mansion, posting pictures to a Facebook following of nearly 1,500. The little-known world of maskers is revealed in Secrets of the Living Dolls, a documentary that premiered Monday in the U.K. and is on its way to American audiences.
