Interview magazine, which was founded in 1969 by Andy Warhol, folded on Monday, according to CNNMoney. Editor Ezra Marcus said that employees were told in an email that the publication was “folding both web and print effective immediately.” At an all-staff meeting Monday, it was announced that the magazine would be filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Billionaire Peter Brant bought the magazine from Warhol’s estate in 1989, and relaunched it in 2008 under “under new editorial leadership.” A former editor sued the magazine, claiming that they did not pay him in early May. Staffers were booted from their Soho office due to Brant reportedly not paying the rent.
