Israeli forces blocked a flotilla of humanitarian activists bound for Gaza Sunday night. Commandos boarded one of the ships and rerouted it to a port in Ashdod. Those aboard the ship will be interrogated and then deported from Israel. The government reportedly drew up a flier that would be handed to each of the passengers, questioning the destination of their boat: “Perhaps you meant to sail somewhere else nearby—Syria, where Assad’s regime is massacring his people every day, with the support of the murderous Iranian regime.” Officials say the incident took place without any casualties, and two other boats—also bound for Gaza—appeared to turn back.
