An Israeli program that barred Palestinians from Israeli bus lines has been suspended following a global outcry. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defense minister Moshe Ya’alon announced the change Wednesday, a day after it was launched. The program required Palestinians from the West Bank to enter and leave Israel from the same checkpoint, and barred them from using Israeli buses. Many Israeli politicians, including Zionist Union leader Isaac Herzog, decried the program as “warrantless humiliation.”
