In an interview with NBC’s Today show in Pyeongchang for the Olympic Closing Ceremonies, Ivanka Trump claimed that it was “pretty inappropriate” to be asked if she believes her father’s sexual-misconduct accusers. In response to Peter Alexander’s question if she “believed her father’s accusers,” she responded, “I think it’s a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he’s affirmatively stated there’s no truth to it.” She continued, “I don’t think that’s a question you would ask many other daughters. I believe my father, I know my father. So, I think I have that right as a daughter to believe my father.” Adult-film star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal have recently emerged in reports of alleged affairs with Donald Trump—and alleged payoffs to keep their stories out of the press.
