A short film featuring Daniel Craig in character as James Bond will be featured during the opening ceremonies of the London Olympics. Craig agreed to shoot it after a personal invitation from Queen Elizabeth II. The timing is especially appropriate because 2012 is also the 50th anniversary of the James Bond films. In the short, called "The Arrival," Bond gets his mission at Buckingham Palace and then helicopters to Stratford, east London, where he parachutes into the stadium. The short is directed by Slumdog Millionaire’s Danny Boyle, and there are rumors that the Queen might make an appearance as well.
