On Friday, the woman who made it her life’s mission to try and put gun companies out of business passed away after a battle with pneumonia. Sarah Brady was 73-years-old. Her husband, James, who was Ronald Regan’s press secretary, was left paralyzed after a bullet entered his head during an assassination attempt on Regan in 1981. She was responsible for the first legislation mandating background checks and a seven-day waiting period for gun purchases and continued to fight for gun control throughout the rest of her life.
