The first teaser trailer has arrived for James Franco’s The Disaster Artist, in which the actor directs himself as Tommy Wiseau, the man behind The Room, known by it's cult-like fans as the “best-worst movie” ever made. When Franco and his co-stars, brother Dave Franco and Seth Rogen, premiered the film at SXSW this past March, they hinted at a possible summer release, but now A24 has decided to put it out at the height of awards season—in select theaters December 2 and nationwide December 8—only fueling the Oscar buzz for Franco’s transformational performance.
