Singer Janet Jackson married Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana, the couple confirmed on Monday—but Emily Post would say that a gift isn’t necessary, since the wedding happened a whole year ago. United Arab Emirates media had reported the billionaire Mana, 37, and Jackson, 46, were planning a lavish ceremony—including flying in members of Jackson’s family—but the couple quashed those rumors, saying they had wed already in a “quiet, private and beautiful ceremony” last year.
