Jenny Slate is staying mum about the feud behind It Ends With Us. In a new profile from The Hollywood Reporter, Slate shut down any possibility that she’ll be adding to the constant chatter about the legal battle between her co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. “I don’t have anything to say about that,” she told the site. “Everything is its own thing. I poured my heart into this work,” she continued, explaining to her interview that she “only wants to talk about” her new project. Slate wasn’t always mum on the subject, however. She was clear about whose side she was on in December, right after Lively formalized her sexual harassment accusations against Baldoni and announced them in the New York Times. “As Blake Lively’s cast mate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation,” Slate said in a statement then. In February, it was reported that Slate allegedly filed a complaint against Baldoni’s producing partner during filming over an “uncomfortable” conversation related to her living situation. Slate’s sidestepping of a red carpet question about working with Baldoni was one of the catalysts that fueled initial speculation that something had gone wrong on the It Ends With Us set.
