A JetBlue passenger was arrested after they opened an emergency exit and deployed the slide of a taxiing plane at Boston Logan International Airport Tuesday night. The Massachusetts State Police said in a statement that the JetBlue Flight 161 passenger “who wanted to deplane opened an aircraft door suddenly and without warning,” before they were taken down by fellow passengers as they waited for troopers. The individual was arrested and will be arraigned in East Boston District Court on Wednesday morning, police said, according to CNN. “A customer, for unknown reasons, opened an overwing exit while the aircraft was taxiing at Logan, causing the deployment of an emergency slide,” JetBlue told the network. The incident follows the discovery of two deceased people in the landing gear of another JetBlue plane at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Monday night. The pair were found inside the compartment at the front of an Airbus A320 after a routine post-flight maintenance check. Police are investigating.
