The Academy Awards are this Sunday on ABC. But has anyone actually seen the films that are nominated?
In the latest edition of “Lie Witness News” Jimmy Kimmel Live set up a camera across the street from the Dolby Theatre where the ceremony will take place and asked pedestrians about movies that don’t exist.
According to these people Jennifer Lawrence was excellent in “19-Year-Old Mother of Four,” the “cute dance scene” at the end of The Revenant was delightful and those adorable CGI cats in Carol didn’t ruin the movie at all.
They were kind enough not to ask people about Room, which has the lowest box office receipts of the eight Best Picture nominees with just $12.6 million domestically as of this week.
