President Joe Biden says that Vice President Kamala Harris is ready to take on Donald Trump ahead of their first debate on Tuesday night. “She seemed calm, cool and collected,” Biden told reporters Tuesday. “I think she’s going to do great,” he added. The president, who withdrew from the race in July, told reporters that he will watch the debate in New York as he celebrates his granddaughter Finnegan’s birthday and prepares to commemorate 9/11’s 13th anniversary on Wednesday. As for Trump’s feelings in anticipation of the main event, the former president told NBC News on Tuesday that he felt “great.” “You don't know what to expect. She’s changed all of her policies over the years,” he said in regard to Harris. The debate will take place at the National Constitution Center in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania, and both candidates have arrived in the city. Prior to the ABC-hosted debate, there were questions as to whether or not it would even take place after squabbles over details like microphones.
