Former Vice President Joe Biden didn’t hesitate to call President Trump a “joke” Tuesday during an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo. Asked whether he thinks the president should sit down for an interview as part of a special counsel’s Russia probe, Biden remarked, “If I were the president’s lawyer, I’d probably tell him not to sit down with special counsel [Robert] Mueller... [because] the president has some difficulty with precision.” He continued: “One of the things that I would worry about—if I were his lawyer—is him saying something that was as simply not true without him even planning to be disingenuous.” The ex-veep concluded: “I just marvel at some of the things he says and does,” including the president’s remark that the Democrats who didn’t applaud his State of the Union address were “un-American” and “treasonous,” which the White House claims was just a joke. “Well, let me tell you, he’s a joke,” Biden shot back.
