Roseanne Barr’s TV husband has shrugged off ABC’s decision to cancel Roseanne and said he’s oblivious to Barr’s bigoted comments that tanked the show. “I wasn’t gonna get an Emmy anyway,” he said in a video released by Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday. “I’ve been up there [11] times already, and if I didn’t get one, I’m not gonna get one,” he said. As for Barr’s racist tweet comparing a black former Obama aide to an ape, Goodman said he doesn’t “know anything about it.” “I don’t read it,” he said. His comments came as Barr lashed out at her other co-stars for condemning her behavior and continued to try to justify her remarks by retweeting extremists’ memes. Meanwhile, her former real-life husband Tom Arnold told CNN he knew all along her Roseanne reboot “would not end well.” Barr and her followers “love calling black people monkeys. It’s not a one-time joke, OK. They do it because we have a white-trash racist president,” Arnold said.
