Sen. John McCain has been diagnosed with brain cancer. Doctors who performed surgery on the Arizona Republican to remove a blood clot last week revealed on Wednesday that the senator had a “primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot.” A Mayo Clinic statement said treatment options include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation, adding McCain is recovering “amazingly well.” McCain’s Senate office said he is “in good spirits as he continues to recover at home with his family in Arizona.”
