Jon Stewart will headline two upcoming HBO comedy specials, the network announced on Wednesday. Stewart last headlined an HBO comedy special in 1996, “Jon Stewart: Unleavened.” Additionally, the network said Stewart will host a charity event in November for the non-profit NEXT For AUTISM at Madison Square Garden in New York City. “I’m really thrilled to be able to return to stand-up on HBO,” Stewart said. “They’ve always set the standard for great stand-up specials. Plus, I can finally use up the last of the Saddam Hussein jokes left over from my first special.” Stewart and HBO announced in May that they weren’t moving forward with an animation project.
