Joy Reid’s Blog Posted Doctored Photo of John McCain as Virginia Tech Shooter

A picture of John McCain’s face photoshopped on the body of Virginia Tech shooter Seung-Hui Cho was found in the archives of MSNBC host Joy Reid’s now-defunct Reid Report blog, according to BuzzFeed News. In a 2007 blog post titled “Baghdad John strikes again,” Reid says McCain would “follow Osama Bin Laden to the gates of hell.” The photoshopped image was placed at the end of the post. Reid’s blog has come under scrutiny in recent months, with journalists recovering homophobic posts. She’s blamed other posts on a hacker. Most recently, it was found that she promoted a 9/11 truther video on her blog back in 2006. MSNBC and Reid did not respond for requests for comment from BuzzFeed.
