A federal judge on Monday barred President Trump from reversing the government’s current policy on military service by transgender people. The president had said in August that he planned to change the 2016 policy, which allows troops to serve while openly identifying as transgender. U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, of D.C., blocked the reversal and wrote that transgender members of the military who have already sued over it are, at this point, likely to win their lawsuit.
