Julie Chen just barely addressed the damning sexual-harassment allegations against her husband, Leslie Moonves, at the very top of her show The Talk on CBS Monday afternoon. “Some of you may be aware of what’s going on in my life the past few days,” she said, without adding any context about the six women who accused the CBS CEO of improper conduct in a New Yorker exposé by Ronan Farrow. “I issued the one and only statement I will ever make on this topic on Twitter, and I will stand by that statement today, tomorrow, forever.” Chen was referring to her statement from this past Friday night, in which she wrote, “I have known my husband, Leslie Moonves, since the late ‘90s, and I have been married to him for almost 14 years. Leslie is a good man and a loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader. He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being. I fully support my husband.” In comparison to the less than 30 seconds CBS’ The Talk spent on this major media story, ABC’s The View discussed the allegations for more than eight minutes Monday morning with co-host Meghan McCain declaring that a lot of women are “past the point of forgiveness” when it comes to workplace harassment. “We just want men in power who are good men who aren’t going to treat us like pieces of meat,” she said. — Matt Wilstein
