The Justice Department plans to sue the state of California, alleging that the state violated the Constitution with “sanctuary” jurisdictions. The suit, expected to be filed in federal district court in Sacramento, will reportedly claim, according to The Washington Post, that three recent California laws obstruct federal immigration enforcement. Attorney General Jeff Sessions plans to publicly address the lawsuit on Wednesday and will reportedly say: “We are fighting to make your jobs safer and to help you reduce crime in America. And I believe we are going to win.”
