Kamala Harris is taunting Donald Trump as unfit to be president after his campaign adviser reportedly said he is “exhausted and refusing” to do more interviews.
“He is ducking debates and canceling interviews,” the Democratic presidential candidate said during a Friday rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan. “Come on. And check this out: his own campaign team recently said it’s because of exhaustion.”
She directed her remarks to her 78-year-old rival: “Well, if you are exhausted on the campaign trail, it raises real questions about whether you are fit for the toughest job in the world. Come on!”

It wasn’t the only time she used that line of attack after the former president skipped sit-downs with CNBC, NBC and the Shade Room.
“I’ve been hearing reports that his team, at least, is saying he’s suffering from exhaustion,” she told reporters on Friday. “And that’s apparently the excuse for why he’s not doing interviews, and, of course, he’s not doing the CNN town hall. He refuses to do another debate.”
Trump’s campaign has denied reports that he’s too exhausted to do interviews, and he has appeared at several events this week. But Harris posted the same message on X while her team slammed him for cutting a live interview short on Friday morning. The dig builds on her previous attacks suggesting that he is too afraid to debate her again.
It’s clearly a potent jab coming from Harris, 59, who is 19 years Trump’s junior and became the Democratic nominee after Joe Biden stepped aside, largely due to concerns about his age and fitness. If elected, Trump would surpass Biden as the oldest person ever inaugurated.
The former president frequently highlights his vigor, talking about his parents’ long lives and his strong golf game. But Harris’ comments seemed to be getting under his skin.
“What event have I canceled?” he asked on Friday when a reporter inquired about his skipped engagements. He rattled off his schedule for the day, calling Harris a “loser who doesn’t have the energy of a rabbit.”
“Tell me when you’ve seen me take a little bit of a rest,” Trump added. “I’m not even tired. I’m really exhilarated.”
