Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign seemed to enjoy Donald Trump’s misfortune Monday night, following a disastrous interview with Elon Musk on his social media site X, formerly Twitter, which was delayed for more than 30 minutes due to technical difficulties. Kamala HQ, her campaign’s account on Truth Social, reposted a comment of Trump’s in which he savaged his onetime Republican primary rival, Ron DeSantis, for a very similar situation. The Florida governor opted to launch his presidential bid last year on X “Spaces,” the live audio platform offered on Musk’s website, only to be met with similar technical glitches that quickly overshadowed his campaign’s message. “Wow! The DeSanctus TWITTER launch is a DISASTER!” Trump wrote on Truth Social following the debacle, a message Kamala re-posted to her own followers on the site Monday. “His whole campaign will be a disaster. WATCH!” Musk blamed a distributed denial-of-service attack for the original delay, even going so far as to seemingly agree with another user who blamed Democrats for the situation.
