Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model, is now free to publicly discuss her alleged affair with President Donald Trump. McDougal was under a contract with American Media Inc., which owns the National Enquirer, that prevented her from discussing the matter, but the company has freed her from that contract, according to McDougal’s attorney. American Media bought the rights to McDougal’s story in August 2016 for $150,000 and a promotional agreement. Trump denies the affair. “We got everything we were fighting for — she got out of the contract, gets the life rights back and owes A.M.I. nothing more,” said Peter Stris, McDougal’s lawyer.
