Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake knows no bounds to denying the results of the 2020 election—she even made former President Donald Trump chuckle, according to a new book by Meridith McGraw set to hit shelves next week. “It doesn’t matter what you ask Kari Lake about,” Trump told McGraw, according to a copy of Trump in Exile sent to The Guardian. “‘How’s your family?’ And she’s like, ‘The family’s fine but they’re never going to be great until we have free and fair elections.’” One Trump “friend” or “donor” told McGraw, “‘[Trump] was like, ‘You could ask her, how’s the weather?, and she’ll turn it into the election. ‘Oh, the weather in Phoenix is OK, but you can never have great weather unless the election is fair.’” Trump reportedly admired Lake’s ability to stay on message, telling failed 2022 GOP Senate candidate Blake Masters: “Look at Kari. Kari is winning with very little money, and if they say, ‘How is your family?’ she says, ‘The election was rigged and stolen.’”
