In a 2015 speech, Judge Brett Kavanaugh joked that “What happens at Georgetown Prep, stays at Georgetown Prep.” Politico reports that while speaking at the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, the Supreme Court nominee called it “a good saying that we’ve held firm to to this day... I think that’s been a good thing for all of us.” Kavanaugh has been accused of attempted sexual assault by Christine Blasey Ford, who claims the alleged incident occurred while Kavanaugh was a student at Georgetown Prep. Kavanaugh has denied the allegations. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) tweeted the 2015 clip and wrote, “I can’t imagine any parent accepting this view. Is this really what America wants in its next Supreme Court Justice?” Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote, which was scheduled for Thursday, was canceled and a public hearing about the allegations will take place Monday in front of the Judiciary Committee.
