Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh told Senate Judiciary Committee staffers on Tuesday that he has never had a “threesome” when asked whether he had ever participated in a gang rape. Kavanaugh was asked if he was involved in the alleged “drug and alcohol-induced gang rape” of Michael Avenatti’s client Julie Swetnick. Kavanaugh denied the claim. “I’ve never participated in a gang rape. I’ve never participated in sexual activity with more than one woman present and me,” Kavanaugh said on the phone call. “In other words, I’ve never had a threesome or more than a threesome.” Kavanaugh later claimed he had never attended a house party at “which a woman was gang raped or used for sex by multiple men.” While Kavanaugh said he had never been involved sexually with “more than one woman,” his statement did not address Swetnick’s claim of being sexually assaulted by more than one man present. The staffer and Kavanaugh also never defined “gang rape” on the call. Kavanaugh recently told Fox News that he was a virgin throughout high school, college, and years after college.
