The Justice Department officially has a new top spokesperson: Kerri Kupec has been named director of its Office of Public Affairs, The Daily Beast has learned.

Sarah Isgur Flores, the previous director of public affairs for the department, has moved to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s office, multiple Justice Department sources confirmed. Flores has been one of the most visible advocates for former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who resigned from the department the day after midterm elections. She worked on the team that guided Sessions through his contentious nomination process, and previously was a spokesperson for Carly Fiorina’s presidential campaign.

Kupec, the new top spokesperson, formerly represented the conservative group Alliance Defending Freedom. She also spent time at the White House helping with Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.
