Kerry Perry has resigned as CEO of USA Gymnastics after a disastrous nine months at the helm. Perry was widely criticized for her failure to address the U.S. Olympic team doctor Larry Nassar’s sexual-abuse scandal or engage with his victims. Perry’s resignation followed comments by new U.S. Olympic Committee CEO Sarah Hirshland on Friday that it was “time to consider making adjustments in the leadership.” Perry reportedly had no experience in gymnastics or the Olympic movement when she was hired in December.
