The singer Kesha dismissed her lawsuit filed in Los Angeles against music producer Dr. Luke, whom she accuses of abusing her sexually and emotionally, in order to focus on a similar case in New York. Her lawyer said late Monday that the pop artist hopes the move will help her concentrate on the other legal case, new singles, and an album release. Dr. Luke, né Lukasz Gottwald, has denied Kesha’s allegations, which include an accusation of rape. Previous rulings in New York have kept her from breaking her contract with her music label, Sony Music Entertainment. Kesha has reportedly finished 28 new songs. “We have conveyed to Sony and the label Kesha’s strong desire to release her next album and single as soon as possible,” attorney Daniel Petrocelli wrote in a statement.
