The director of a new docuseries about her murder is urging police to share developments in the 28-year-old cold case.
People familiar with the case say that new techniques are being applied to the investigation into the six-year-old’s death.
“Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey” on Netflix leaves the 6-year-old beauty pageant contestant’s parents vindicated nearly 30 years after she was found dead.

Also starring Clive Owen, the show will follow the Ramsey family before and after JonBenét’s murder.
Boulder Police, in collaboration with multiple authorities, are working to solve the 27 year old murder case.
Dr. Henry Lee is known for his involvement in the JonBenet Ramsey and O.J. Simpson cases.
The case remains unsolved 26 years later.
The 6-year-old junior beauty pageant winner was found dead in her parent’s basement wine cellar on Christmas Day in 1996.
In a statement ahead of the 25th anniversary of the 6-year-old’s murder, Boulder Police said they were “actively reviewing genetic DNA testing processes.”
Henry Lee testified in some of America’s biggest murder cases, from O.J. Simpson to JonBenet. But he’s been accused of botching evidence in multiple trials.
