A firm decision will be taken nearer the event in June. Tickets for Trooping the Colour advertising the presence of the king have gone on sale, leading to optimism he will find a way to be there. The palace have not said what type of cancer he is afflicted with, but his doctors have advised him to avoid crowds during treatment. The king has been keen to emphasize that he is still working, and his aides have released several videos and still images of him in recent weeks.
