Kirk Cameron has been criticized widely since he called homosexuality “unnatural” in a Friday interview on CNN with Piers Morgan. Now, the star of 1980s comedy “Growing Pains” said that he’s the one being treated unfairly. “I spoke as honestly as I could, but some people believe my responses were not loving toward those in the gay community,” Cameron said in a statement Tuesday. The actor, whose comments were condemned by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, has said his gay friends have been supportive. “Cameron used his platform to attack gay Americans and is now attempting to play victim in an effort to sell his upcoming movie,” a GLAAD spokesman said.
