MoMA exhibition director Klaus Biesenbach had his own exhibition to accompany Marina Abramovic’s new show at the museum: he declared his unrequited love for the artist and called loving her “the biggest mistake of my career.” When Biesenbach took to the podium to introduce Abramovic, he instead begged her to look at him and continued to ask “will you stop talking and listen to me? Okay, don’t listen, I don’t care. Marina? Are you listening?” He said he fell in love with Abramovic, who is 20 years older than he, at first sight.
