Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) has said she will make an announcement regarding her presidential plans during a Sunday event in Minneapolis. While she did not confirm or deny speculation about a presidential bid, she hinted at a major announcement in an interview with MSNBC and a Tuesday night tweet. “You have been asking me this forever,” she told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. “So, Sunday, come to Boom Island in Minneapolis—as in Boom Island, drop the mic—and you'll find out... We've had so many discussions about this, I thought, well, here you go. That's the moment.” If Klobuchar announces her campaign at the event, she will be joining Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), among others as a 2020 Democratic contender.
