Is this the plot of the latest Pixar adventure? A giant lizard known as a Komodo dragon attacked an 83-year-old woman in Indonesia on Tuesday, and she has survived to tell the tale. On Thursday the woman, known as Haisah, said that a Komodo dragon “bit my right hand” while she was making a broom from a coconut tree on Rinca island, and she has “no idea what direction it came from.” “A knife fell from my right hand as the Komodo sunk its teeth into my wrist,” she said. “There was nobody else around, and I knew I faced a fight for survival.” Fight she did, kicking the Komodo dragon on its front legs with “all [her] strength.” Her wrist was wounded and needed 35 stitches, but she insists she is “doing fine now.”
