The Kansas Supreme Court has opened an ethics investigation into Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, the Topeka Capital-Journal reported Monday. The investigation is in response to a complaint from a Topeka resident who filed a claim alleging “ethical questions surrounding Mr. Kobach’s behavior as an attorney.” These questions include a $1,000 fine Kobach received in June for misleading a court about materials he brought to a November meeting with then President-elect Trump.
