Asked if he wrote the anonymous New York Times op-ed, top Trump economic adviser Larry Kudow instead chose to answer a question with a question. “You’re not going to bother me with this crap, are you?” he told The Daily Beast. He said the op-ed, which claimed there was a resistance working in the Trump administration to curb the president’s impulses, was “a fiction” and was worth nothing more than “a belly laugh.” Kudlow went on to scoff at outlets like The Weekly Standard, which speculated he was behind the “resistance” op-ed, and said the person behind it should “resign” because working for President Trump is an “honor.” A number of administration officials came out publicly Thursday and denied writing the piece after Trump demanded the author be turned over for “National Security purposes.”
