Jerry Maren, the last surviving adult Munchkin from The Wizard of Oz, died last month at 98, his family said. Maren, who also had roles in Superman and Marx Brothers movies, was just 19 years old when he played one of the three Lollipop Guild Munchkins in the 1939 classic, welcoming Dorothy to Munchkinland and presenting her with a lollipop. His wife, actress Elizabeth Barrington, died in 2011, and he’d been living in an assisted-care facility.
